Data processing by Ravensburger
The Ravensburger app is provided and operated by Ravensburger Verlag GmbH. If you use our app, data will therefore be collected and processed by Ravensburger Verlag GmbH.
The purpose of data processing is to provide you with the kNOW! online game variants. We do not store or use your data for any other purpose.
For voice commands, we use the speech recognition functionality provided by your operating system (Android or iOS). The speech recognition functionality converts speech into text, based on which our app can answer the corresponding quiz question. Before we send data to the speech recognition functionality of your operating system, we ask for your consent. You can refuse your consent or revoke it at any time in your app settings. Please understand that certain game functions cannot be provided in this case.
Some game variants require the functionalities of Google Assistant. This is the case, for example, if Our app then establishes a connection to Google Assistant. This data processing is also based on your voluntary consent, which can be revoked at any time with effect for the future. The associated data processing by Google is described in the next section.
Data processing by Google
The Google Assistant functionalities are needed when we need to refer to current information to answer a quiz question, for example, when asked about the current weather in another location or when asked to estimate how long it would take you to walk to another location.
Our app then connects to Google Assistant. The Google Assistant is provided and operated by Google Ireland Limited. Insofar as the Google Assistant assists with a quiz question, data is collected and processed by Google Ireland Limited. The data processing serves to answer the quiz question. Depending on the question, the Google Assistant sometimes also accesses the location of your device in order to be able to provide location-specific answers.
In addition, Google stores your requests to the Google Assistant (voice and text) in a personal activity log of your Google account, also your use of the Google Assistant flows into the creation of anonymized statistics. As the owner of your Google account, you have the option to delete the history of your personal activity log.
